Sometimes your full time job just doesn’t make the cut when it comes to all your debt, bills and saving wants. If you are in a good work place and don’t want to find something that pays more, consider picking up a part time job on the weekends.  Here are 5 part time weekend jobs to consider if you want to bring in some extra cash:

Bartending: Your goal is to find a more of a ‘hole in the wall’ kind of bar to work at. These kinds of bars are typically understaffed and willing to train if you have never bartended before. Working one to two nights on the weekend can easily bring you a large lump of cash. It’s hard work but in short hours you can sometimes walk away with at least $100 bucks a night.

Lawn care: Lawn care is a really easy way to get paid especially in the warmer months. All you need is a decent lawn mower, edger, trash bags and a broom. Print a few flyers around town and offer to mow lawns for a reasonable cost. It’s a quick job and a great work out!

Blogging: If you have a way with words and know how to write, consider blogging for money. You can do this in two ways: your own personal blog or write for another blogger. Personal blogging makes money by working with advertisements and companies. For example if you send someone over to a car dealership based on your blog referral, the dealership can give you a certain percentage. There are many different blogs that are looking for someone to help them blog and will pay.

Local shops: When looking for a part time weekend gig, you want to focus on local over well-known chain stores. Local stores tend to be more flexible with their training and schedules. A lot of chain store are corporate owned and have strict rules on schedules. A local food store, boutique or bakery will more likely work with your schedule than Target.

House sitting: There are plenty of people that go out of town on the weekends and need someone to look after their home. House sitting can include, dog watching and watering plants. Start by house sitting for neighbors and friends and ask them to refer you. You can slowly start to build a good reputation and referral program.

Figure out how much you need extra each month and then do your research on how much you earn with the part time job of your choice. Be prepared to give up your weekends but remember that with hard work come rewards. Good luck!
