Quick Cleaning for Your Spa Filters

There are certain solutions containing muriatic acid, which help in cleaning up of spa filters overnight. If you do not wish to use too much acid, you can also dilute these solutions in water as use it as filter bath. However, while using acid you should wear protective gloves, so that the acid doesn’t burn your skin. Similarly, you can also use cartridge cleaning solutions to clean the filters. Spray this on the filter with care, ensuring that you don’t let the solution enter your eyes. Thereafter, rinse the solution off the filter after 10 minutes.
To give a simple wash, just rinse off the filter with a garden hose. Make sure that the water gets the dirt off the pleats of the filter.

Elaborate Cleaning for Spa Filters

Though most of the times, spa filters need a quick cleanup, every three months your spa filters should go through an elaborate cleaning process. You can also use Trisodium Phosphate to clean your hot tub filter. Every 5 gallons of water requires 1 cup tsp. All you need to do is soak the filters in this solution and leave overnight. Therefore, it is wise that in case you need to use your hot tub the next morning, you should keep a spare hot tub filter that can be used.
