Gas prices have reached an all time high. Add to this some logical analysis and you will find how the trend is that with enhancing steps of development in the field of science and technology, the need for fuel will only increase. Here are 3 ways to lose weight and save money on the cost of gas :

Bike your way around town : true, one cannot comfortably ride bikes and / or bicycles for too long distances and it is not as fast either. But if it is a destination around town or maybe your city office is not as far as will make it too hard for you to paddle your way to it, try going for this kind of alternative.

These activities will not only help you to cut down on cardiac arrest rates, that is, more commonly known as chances of having a heart attack, but will also help you to almost cut down half your fuel intake. Saving on gas at this large scale every month, will amount to saving a huge amount by the end of the year. Plus you will be doing the planet a huge favor by being eco-friendly and conserving non – renewable resources.

Talk with the family about how heavier vehicles have a larger gas consumption : Research has come up with many little facts about driving and vehicular maintenance. Just like open windows can cause engine drag and increase fuel consumption,  vehicles that are too heavy can end up burning more gas than you thought. So if you or your family members are obese, it is time you had a little family chat that tries to address the problem directly. When you start talking about why you need to lose weight and be healthy, because of the many diseases that obesity can trigger, add to the list of cons the decreasing fuel economy due to overweight cars.

Make walks and runs fun : So you feel bored if you have to walk 20 minutes to get to the nearest department store, or  the farmer’s market is a little too far and you would rather drive to it. Try and make it a little fun for yourself. Ask someone, you like spending time with, to come along with you. Promise yourself a fresh seasonal fruit juice if you walk your way to and from the store. Go to sleep by 11PM so that by 7AM you can wake up fresh and take a 15 minute morning power run. This way your capacity to run or walk will increase. Make your kids walk or bike to school.

A rising demand and a shortage of resources will make gas dearer, so start shifting to more economic lifestyle.
