Boisar is a small town in the Thane district in Maharashtra. It is 45km further away from Virar (which is almost the end of Mumbai). The town is well connected with Mumbai by the Western Line of Mumbai local train network as well as by the state transport buses. In addition to this, the long distance trains stop here. There are people who have bought residential properties in Boisar, but their workplace is in Mumbai so they commute about 70km every day to reach their offices.
